A Long-Awaited Gem That Nails the Space Survival Fantasy

Ixion was a game I waited for a while to get on a good sale, and it scratched that Forstpunk itch brilliantly. The game's theme is just awesome if you love space-adventure games. Maintaining population happiness, production, efficiency, etc, while exploring the galaxy is, in my opinion, even better than Frostpunk.

Hooked by Story, Atmosphere, and Deep Strategic Gameplay

I got absolutely hooked on this game, spending over 30 hours within the first week. I was quite surprised how well the story and music was, some pretty good VA work as well, and surprises were throughout the game, which I like. In my opinion, this game is far better and more interesting than Forstpunk. I'm really looking forward to a sequel to this game. The story was pretty different from other space games, and the gameplay was very solid and well-balanced.

Minor Flaws, But a Strongly Polished and Rewarding Experience

I did have one bug near the end, but other than that, a very well-polished and bug-free game. I do wish there were more military-focused aspects of the game rather than just a counter missile, but that's probably out of the scope of what Ixion was meant to be. Nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend it for any RTS or City Builder lovers out there!

Ixion Conclusion

Ixion delivers a rich, challenging space survival experience with strong gameplay, great atmosphere, and lasting appeal.
